Can the CoreControl assist in concussion recovery?

Posted in F.A.Q.

The human brain acquires multiple (small) injuries from an MMA bout or boxing match or similar high impact sporting event. The brain absolutely must and will heal post injury and will initiate a healing response. The inflammatory response that occurs in the brain can and does lead to white blood cells and similar immune type cells moving into the brain to promote healing.

Do you have any studies or anecdotal feedback on high intensity low rep weight training without being preceded by the hyperthermic extended cardio / warm-up?

You gain benefit from the corecontrol unit for both cooling the core body as well as localized muscle cooling. It is the localized muscle cooling that is a huge benefit to lifting weights.

Although your core is not overheating and you may not feel hot and sweaty the specific muscle group you are focusing on will begin to fatigue due to excess heat being generated. There is an enzyme that actually changes shape to prevent the cells in the muscle from being able to use nutrients for energy to prevent overheating. By cooling those specific areas from the inside out using the CoreControl, you allow the muscle to recover much quicker thereby allowing you to lift longer and at higher weights than previously. It will also greatly reduce post exercise muscle pain and shorten recovery time.
